For many years JUKI Automation Systems has enjoyed great success in the hard-fought SMD placement market. Record turnover and profits, an unbelievable number of new customers and a growing range of placement systems are now demanding an enlarged infrastructure. This is becoming all the more important since JUKI has set itself the goal of becoming the world leader in terms of turnover and modules sold.
Juki Automation Systems has already responded to this and has much expanded its space for demonstrations, application and training at its headquarters in Solothurn (CH). The new spaces offer sufficient space for the presentation of current, new and even future machine models to customers, including all options and accessories. With increasingly powerful but also larger models, this step was unavoidable. In this new setting we can demonstrate to our customers even more persuasively why the JUKI philosophy, 'Lowest Cost of Ownership', is not merely a slogan but a fact.

However, the challenges presented by growth do not only effect the headquarters but also Juki Automation Systems GmbH in Nuremberg (D), where the main warehousing centre of JUKI Europe is situated. The previous location has become so cramped that a move to new business and storage spaces will soon be necessary. The new location in the south of Nuremberg benefits from good transport links and offers a far larger area for storage and management, as the best opportunities for the construction of a far larger and more attractive training and demonstration area. The infrastructure around the new location also leaves nothing to be desired: a motorway connection and various hotels and retail options are situated in the immediate surroundings.
In Tama, a Tokyo suburb, JUKI is building a new, larger and ultra-modern group headquarters. The buildings will be ready for occupancy in 2009. The aim is to combine planning, research and development that are currently spread over various locations, while providing these departments with space so that they can double in size.
